Natural Heritage Foundation

The Natural Heritage Foundation (founded in 1995) protects Finnish nature, primarily endangered forests. The foundation acquires ownership of natural areas and guarantees them permanent protection in accordance with the Nature Conservation Act.

Pristine or nearly pristine forests and other natural areas are located in small islands across the country. Native nature is important in its own right, left alone, and it is in the old forest cores that the majority of endangered species live.

Natural forests also have many meanings for people, especially for Finns, whose roots are still in the real forest. In a freely growing forest, everyone can continue the ancient tradition of the forester in their own way, for example by hiking, berry picking or mushroom picking. At the same time, rare aspects of the mind and reality may open up in the forest - in the shade of large trees, a person can encounter silence that has almost completely disappeared elsewhere, beauty that makes you stop.

We support the Natural Heritage Foundation on a small scale.

Our condolences on the passing of Pentti Linkola.
